The House of Sick.

Things are not pretty around the Karr household lately.

This is Bob. He is sick.

So is my mom although she is not easily photographed.

So am I although I’m usually the one behind the camera so you won’t see pictures of my sallow complexion or the bags under my eyes.

So is Mike and both of our lovely (well, usually) children. It really stinks when Nick is sick and has to miss Preschool because I only get 4 hours a week left with only one child. During that time Zoey feels the need to climb on me constantly and pinch me (“Nose! Eer! Mouf! Teef!” Okay kid, I GET it.) But I digress.

These three were all snuggled up on the couch and were so adorably pitiful I had to get pictures. Problem is, Nick is the only one who could take a decent picture. What’s up with that? The ONE time he isn’t making that trademark scrunched up face and I can’t catch a break with those other two. Oh well… Zo is funny in ALL of them.

This one is my favorite.

An arresting meme

Ramblingmom did a little meme over at her blog that intrigued me, just one question…

If you saw me in the back of a police car what would you think I had been arrested for?

The full mon can suck it: Volume 2, unfortunately.

We’ve secretly replaced Mike and Katie’s children who sleep through the night with ones that cry hysterically all night long… Let’s see if they notice.

Um, yeah.

Last night was not so good. We were kind of laughing about it at 10:30pm when we went to bed because Zoey was so completely hysterically inconsolable. At 11:30pm not so much. At 12:30am we were kind of unsympathetic to her plight. By 2:30am downright irritated. By 4:30am kill me, kill me now.

Nothing helped her. Rescue Remedy, Ibuprofen, snacks and water, being in our bed, being in her crib, singing, cuddling. She hated everything.

Then this morning adorable and smiley! Good morning everybody! The moon was away for the day and so was her bad mood.

Mike stayed home today so both of us could get some rest. Then he watched the kids this afternoon while I had my very first Parent-Teacher meeting about Nicholas. In summary he is fitting in well, shares, plays well, cooperates, is a hands-on learner, and has a very ornery streak. Hmmm… I think he gets that one from his father.

Maybe it is from that darn full moon.

Soup Ads: Weirding me out since 2008

So I saw this ad in some parenting magazine I get:

Looks pretty normal right? That’s what I thought until I saw this:

WTF? Why do I notice things like this now? I guess I really am becoming more observant in my old age.

I married him y’all.

Me: So how long are you going to let your beard grow?

Mike: Well, you are supposed to let it grow for four weeks then see a Barber to cut a proper neck line for you.

Me: You researched this didn’t you!

Mike: Of course I did. These beard blog sites are all pretty weird though. Lot of fruitcakes out there.

Me:  ….  (Much like the guy GOING to the sites to research how to grow a beard????)
