Sophisticated Side Ponytail.

Yeah, I got one.

I sported my Sophisticated Side Ponytail to go to the Gala! It was a little shindig for Mike’s work and I must say is was the most unusual, unexpected black-tie optional event I’ve ever been to. You know, of the TWO I’ve ever been to.

The host told us to “Kiss my sweet ass.” Huh. He was pretty funny actually. Also their entertainment was Quixotic. I cannot explain all that they do, just click on the link to see. What I can say is that they were awesome (aside from all the modern dance which the dude CAN NOT abide) and I particularly loved the ring acrobatics and belly dancer. Some of the other guests of the event did not agree of course and I heard several snickerings about tucking dollar bills into her pants. I had a wonderful time though! Definitely not what I was expecting and I was more than a little happy about that.

Oh and also this one is for you, Grandpa Tim.

Nick: I can do so many wonderful SCIENCE experiments in the bathtub with soap, water and PEE!

And in other news, if it wasn’t late it wouldn’t be me — new pictures are up at Karrmedia.

Some things my children have said to me this week:

Nick: You made a BAD decision! You need to get in Time Out! (Oh yes, please. Can I also take a nap?)

Zoey: Little Miss Mommmmmmmy!

Nick: When Daddy’s not here I’M the boss!

There are so many others, but who can remember with all the other things floating around in the rusty tin can I call a brain these days? I’ll just leave you with this, my 16-year-old with her ePod (no, not a typo, that’s actually what she calls it. Also she can turn it on all by herself ohmygod):
