If you are ever curious about what an acorn might taste like don’t eat one. Even though squirrels eat them all the time you should not. Trust me on this one. Ahem.

In the book, The Other Side of the Mountain, the little boy who ran away and lived by himself in the mountains ate acorns. He ground them into flour and made pancakes. I’m not saying that he thought they were good, or that they were keeping him from starving. I’m just saying that he ate them. Why I can remember this and not important stuff, I don’t know or understand.
Anything is edible if covered in maple syrup. Fact.
I think if you boil them with lye you can make a flour of some sort…now you have me thinking about how to eat them correctly.
